How to balance your wants and your budget.

Go up not out. Instead of picking a larger costlier home plan pick a smaller plan and incorporate higher ceilings. Higher ceilings are a great bang for the buck in making a home feel spacious. Face it, most people living in big homes don’t ever use most of it.

Put your money in things you aren’t easy to upgrade later. If you are running on a tight budget maybe go with standard flooring but upgrade ceilings and add things like 3rd car garage, plant shelves and arched openings.

How often will you really use that dining room? Spend you money on other things and pick an open floor plan that is cost effective and great for entertaining.
