Sometimes you can’t see what sets home builders apart.

A wet basement is something that can be a nightmare for a new home owner. Even though mother nature can throw any home owner a curve ball, there are a few things a new home builder can do to minimize that risk.

What you are looking at in these photographs are things that most people don’t even know if they are getting in their new home. CMS Homes uses an interior and exterior waterproofing system as standard in every CMS Home.

The Round structure in the corner of this basement is a sump pump which takes water lying beneath you home and pumps it out in your yard and away from your new home.

The black material you see laying on top of the foundation footing is another waterproofing system which helps drain into the interior drain system any water that would ever penetrate an opening of the basement wall.

Is your building providing these items at no additional cost? Check it out!
